Historic England has just published its latest blog titled 5 Art Nouveau Buildings in England where it explores some of England’s beautiful Art Nouveau buildings, featuring flowing lines and floral designs.
We are delighted that the Royal Arcade is the first listed building in this blog!
Art Nouveau is a late 19th and early 20th century art, architecture and decoration style.
It’s characterised by designs of leaves and flowers with flowing lines and curves. It was at its peak between around 1890 and 1910.
