AVOCA hairdressers opens in Izola’s first floor studio

Izola, the skincare and fine fragrance store , has introduced a new barber service to its first floor studio. AVOCA, run by Chris Kemp, is initially opening on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Chris specialises in men’s long hair but welcomes both male and female clients. Each of his bookings last for an hour as he delivers an unrushed, holistic experience that includes ambient music, tea and coffee and the opportunity for a relaxed chat.

“At AVOCA, we pride ourselves on the variety of clients we attract, our positive attitudes and our inclusiveness. We advocate talking about mental health and we support the LGBTQ+ community. We offer a creative, safe space for clients and professionals alike.

“The studio we now have in Izola is the perfect space for people to relax and have their hair cut and designed, without any hurry. Plus, they can also treat themselves to some of Izola’s wonderful grooming products when they go downstairs. Spending time with our clients gives them the opportunity to talk to us, sometimes getting things off their chest or asking for our opinions. Everything we do is confidential and we also create some really awesome hairstyles!”

Chris plans to increase the number of days that the studio in Izola opens in the coming weeks. AVOCA also has a barber shop and tattoo studio on City Road in Norwich.

Izola co-owner, Hugo Middleton, said, “We are delighted to welcome Chris to our first floor studio. Without doubt, there is a good synergy between our grooming products and AVOCA’s hair services. We both prioritise the quality of experience we give our customers and being able to tailor what we offer to their aspirations. We have had a successful time since opening in the Royal Arcade last September and have recently expanded our range of products to selected menswear items and accessories to complement our existing range of skincare and grooming products.”
